PET NANNY BACKGROUND
Sharon Stivers is the Pet Nanny. Sharon started pet sitting in 1995 while working full time as a Surgical Technician at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Always having a love for animals, she could see the need for pets to stay in familiar surroundings while Mom and Dad were away. Separation anxiety combined with unfamiliar surroundings can be stressful on pets, contributing to a loss of appetite and an increased chance of illnesses. Being able to stay in their own home and have the same person coming on a schedule alleviates stress. Because of her full time job she was only able to care for pets in her neighborhood. After 23 years working as a Surgical Technician she had enough years in to take early retirement and pursue her Dream Job and that's when Pet Nanny LLC was established in 2006. Her goal is to make the pets as comfortable and happy as they can be while their families are away.
